Debora Harrison LLB (Hons) (APIL)
Debora joined HB in 2010 as the Personal Injury department head. Debora handles all types of personal injury litigation ranging from road traffic accidents, accidents at work, slips and trips through to accidents of the utmost severity. Debora has a wealth of experience acting mainly on behalf of claimants. Debora supervises a team of highly experienced specialist personal injury fee earners and is on hand to provide assistance, guidance and support to the team. Debora is also involved in ensuring compliance with the various rules and regulations governing the conduct of litigation.
Debora attended the University of Warwick as a mature student having undertaken a variety of jobs on leaving school. On graduation Debora studied the LPC in the North West whilst working for a practice in Blackpool conducting and assisting on higher value personal injury matters. On qualification Debora remained as an assistant solicitor in Blackpool then moved in 2002 to a multi disciplinary regional practice as head of personal injury in Preston. Debora was made a Partner in 2004. During this time Debora handled a mix of private client and trade union personal injury claims, most of which were handled on a No Win No Fee basis. Debora's most significant case to date settled for 1.565 million but she has a vast experience of a wide range of Personal Injury matters of any type, complexity or value.
Debora has a unique understanding of the issues which are involved when injuries are sustained having been involved in a very serious road traffic accident at the age of 17. This has given Debora a unique insight into the issues which concern victims of accidents and enhanced her understanding and empathy for those unfortunate enough to be involved in accidents.
Debora was recently awarded Senior Litigator accreditation by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and is committed to pursuing the best interests of personal injury claimants.
